Inspire (March) / Article Study
ERL Drops New Vamp Boot
A local editorial study inspired by the Better Off article format: large typography, sharp image blocks, minimal metadata, and a clean transition from the home carousel into a long-form project page.
The page keeps your own shared header and Footer V2, but borrows the pacing and visual hierarchy of the reference article.
Overview
The reference site treats every article like a spatial composition. Rather than a classic blog layout, it uses oversized headings, mono labels, wide breathing room, and a sequence of images that feels curated instead of templated.
Direction
The composition is intentionally monochrome in structure, with the imagery doing the expressive work. Spacing, scale and rhythm carry most of the identity.
That makes the page feel like an editorial object first, and a project description second.
Notes
This page is a coded study rather than a direct asset-for-asset copy, but its structure follows the same editorial logic: a restrained intro, one strong hero frame, then a measured sequence of image blocks and copy.
The transition from the home carousel uses a local FLIP-like image expansion so the move from home to article feels continuous instead of abrupt.
